Well today sucked for sure.

I tried to save some money by replacing my window regulator myself, only to accidentally shatter my driver window when trying to get the nuts off the window bolts. The window was mostly in the door so I had the pleasure of scooping glass out of every nook and cranny for twenty minutes.

Has anybody replaced the drivers (or any I guess) door window themselves? I’m assuming it’s just drop it back in (carefully, very carefully) and screw it back to the regulator.

Anything I should look out for?

Oh that's bad luck! I replaced my driver's side regulator years ago and, yes, disconnecting & reconnecting the glass was a real pia. I don't recall any particular issues except to make sure the window gusset is aligned properly on MY'03 else you'll get wind noise.

I’ll make sure to triple check the alignment when finished. I’m getting a window from an auto wrecker so here’s hoping it’s in OK condition.

I shattered it because for some reason the darn screws just kept spinning in place. Tried keeping them stationary with pliers and a screwdriver and somehow managed to break it.

Good news is that allowed me to take the regulator out rather easily afterwards!

Kind of a dumb question, but does anyone have advice on how to transport the window pane from the wrecker before installation?
I would hate to break it driving it home....
