Hi I have a 2002 Subaru Forester with an awful custom exhaust from the last owner and I’m in the process of finding the right exhaust parts for me. My question is about the cat converter. I was wondering since all the oem converters come with 2 actual converters as one unit if I could just buy a singular in and out universal cat converter and weld it in to get rid of my check engine light due to the sensor?

Assuming you're not in a State (CA, NY) that has extra strict emission testing, you'll be fine with one CAT. The 2nd CAT isn't monitored on the SF & SG, as the rear O2 sensor is before... upstream of the CAT! :icon_eek:
