Hello, everyone,

I have been searching high and low to compile a complete hose replacement kit for my '02 Foz.

My setup has the big radiator hose on the left side instead of in the center. This makes the search a bit harder:

I get the impression that I can use the radiator hoses for the 1998-2001 Impreza 2.5RS. I can't find anything on the ancillary hoses, though. I feel like buying a couple WRX ancillary kits from around those years and seeing what happens.

The only input I have on this topic is that silicone is permeable, unlike the rubber used in the OEM hoses. This means that you need to check your cooling system's fluid levels more often than normal because the coolant is able to evaporate through the silicone hoses.

Best bet is to stick with the OEM rubber hoses, but do as you see fit!

Hmm, did not know that... I may just go with rubber hoses then. I thought silicone hoses would require less maintenance, with them being tougher and such. They're hard enough to find for SF5, anyway...

Hey @Taka maybe you could gamble on the Mishimoto hose kit (MMHOSE-FXT-04) fitting? The part numbers do not 100% match and they do not advertise fitment on their website, but the overall design of your rad is very similar to the XT from 04-08.

Meh, why not give it a shot. I found it $30 off on Amazon.

The silicone will withstand the heat cycling better, but yes, the material is permeable. Just check your fluid level more often.

I emailed Mishimoto about this some time ago and received this response:

Unfortunately it looks like summit racing has the product and part number listed incorrectly. Part number MMHOSE-FXT-04BL is for the upper and lower radiator hoses in which is the same product as this link https://www.mishimoto.com/subaru-forester-xt-turbo-silicone-hose-kit-04-08.html. The product in on summit racing's page is actually part number MMHOSE-SUB-ANC4, https://www.mishimoto.com/subaru-wrx-sti-silicone-ancillary-hoses-04-07.html. Unfortunately we do not have confirmed fitment for these hoses on the forester I do apologize for this.

Hey there!

As I said, I got the MMHOSE-FXT-04BL for $30 off the regular price on Amazon (because they were "Very Good" used from Amazon Warehouse and came repackaged). The two were a tiny bit dusty, that's all I'm pretty sure that they will fit my '02, as it seems that the non-turbo '04s kept the left-side radiator hose layout.

I also got the MMHOSE-SUB-ANC4 ancillary hoses. I'm going to see how fitment goes on those... not too sure about them.

Quite a bit of time has gone by and I haven't changed the hoses yet...

Any updates on fitment? I ordered a GC6 Kit, and can confirm it does not fit.
