2001 subaru forester S moon roof problem

Can't seem to get my moonroof to work. We have taken everything apart and there was little white plastic cubes that look like they've broken off of something. After taking the glass off and trying to open and close it. I can clearly see that one of the two brackets is uneven from the other and it doesn't push upward the way the other one does. I bought this car knowing the moonroof didn't work, I figured I could take it on. Any suggestions? :shrug:
