Ive got a slow oil leak on my 00 forester, crawled under for a oil change today wiped everything clean and sprayed down with brake cleaner and couldnt see a thing. Once the change was completed I just parked myself under the engine and watched. Slowly oil started seaping out of a seam above the oil filter ( the part that you screw the filter into ). I looked around the forum and saw only one related thread and said the fix is the oil pan seal and oil cooler seal? Am I in the right spot? And if thats the fix whats it gonna run me or involve in fixing it.
