Well,

I have been looking at this forum for some time now. I have been through everything with my 2003 subaru forester. Now in just a few days I will hit 200,000 miles. The only major items that were replaced were the cat/sensors, exhaust and head gaskets.

For all of you out there these cars just keep going and going.

I will be getting a new forester sometime. Who knows when.

:woohoo:

Welcome, and thanks for the great report on the state of your 2003! There's no need to rush thinking about a replacement.

Welcome and congrats. 200k on a 2003 that is great. I bought my XT in June of 2003 and it has 37k. I need to do some catching up.

I traded in my '01 with 218K on it and all it needed was a rear cat, tires, oil, gas, a timing belt (a little late at 180K), and 2 tune-ups through out it's life. Still ran pretty good when I traded it in and I beat the snot out of it. Expect it to last you longer than you would think.
