So then, having been torn over getting rid of the MY05 FSTI (for a newer XT), and then it having the head gasket go (and get repaired) I'm really enjoying the FSTI in it's silent mode with the standard back box back on.

Not rabidly fast, but fast enough, and sooooooo quiet.

Unfortunately all that silence left an itch that needed to be scratched, an aural sensation that needed to be stimulated.....

So I've bought an MY04 Impreza Spec c WR Ltd to keep the Forester Company

Well, after putting the Spec C to track at Castle Combe about 15 hours after picking it up...……

What can I say..... what a car, just about time to catch your breath on the straights, and corners, what corners????

Hitting Avon Rise at upto 150mph (depending upon if I got Camp right or not) just takes your breath away.

Did 8.2 mpg on track (60 miles on a tank before it starts coughing in sharp left handers), but still did 27mpg on the run there and back...…

The MX 5 was fun on track, the Spec C is exhilarating, and quite frankly makes the FSTI feel like a normal car.

The Spec C went on the Rolling Road yesterday, nearly climbed off on high boost ;-)
