Shifter bushings are gonna be waaaay simpler than a clutch, yes you can do it right in your garage. I've done it without the car even jacked up but I definitely don't recommend that.. Watch some videos on it. You'll need a punch to get the pin out, that is by far the most frustrating / hardest part of it
