I have the possibility of acquiring some 15" alloys from a 2.0 Forester All Weather. I would like to fit winter tyres to these and wonder if they would fit as an alternative in the winter for my 16" alloys on my 54 reg 2.0 XT.

Would they clear the brake discs - I don't know if the XT has larger discs than the non-turbo? Would the studs line up?

I don't think the rolling circumference is a problem as the 15" wheels are fitted with higher profile tyres.

Any advice much appreciated.

Hubs and stud layout the same.
XT brakes are larger with both front and rear discs, whereas the AWP (same as 2.0X) will be rear drums.
