14 XT aftermarket Hatch lift support cylinder options

So I had a fun incident with my 14 xt last week. I used the power liftgate to open the hatch and one of the support cylinders snapped off causing the hatch to clunk me on the noggin and leave a wicked bruise and bump on my arm lol. I'm ok thankfully.

Does anyone know if there are any aftermarket cylinder support options? the OEM one's are around 70 bucks a piece. I can't find any aftermarket options for a 14 forester at all. I tried searching the forums and didn't see anything. Thanks!

Well I tried searching for a few days and haven't found any aftermarket ones available and any local auto parts stores. My local subaru dealer is charging 100 bucks a piece with the hardware.

I can't believe how expensive these are. I found front struts cheaper than that. These shouldn't be more than 30 bucks in my opinion but I guess it is what it is. If anyone happens to know of an aftermarket part I'd love to know. I pick these up from Subaru on Saturday.
