Recently I lost my best buddy in the whole world. We built some great creations together. Here's a link to his journal and some pics of our last project.

I really appreciate that man.
Great to finally see a journal started for one of the sexiest SH Foresters (IMHO).

You have my deepest sympathies on the loss of your best friend... I never got to meet Eric in person, but from what I've heard he was an amazing and brilliant young man.

Thanks pleiad7!

I'm going to try and make your install day on the 24th. I think I'm going to bring Eric's roommate as well. I'll give you the heads up next week.
First off Id like to say that even though I dont know you or your best friend that passed away, I wish you and their family my deepest sympathies.....

But on a more upbeat note.....great work on the forester. Its an inspiration to the SH folks....and I like the Subaru fluid in the door compartment.....nice!
One of the nicest SH's on here.
This has to be one of (if not the best) looking SH in existence :icon_cool:
^^ I think so as well. Can't wait to see it in person.

I will definitely pass that on to Eric's parent's. They love hearing from the Subaru Community.
After I did the tranny cooler I kept having this fear of a hose popping off or leaking so I carried some extra fluid around, lol. No leaks so far.

Thanks guys! Its been so much fun working on her.
Stan, we definitely have to get together some time soon. Are you going to Pleids7 BBQ/install day on the 24th?
I just put in the rear STi sway bar and I didn't think i was going to feel any difference but I was wrong. The rear is more planted and it keeps the body roll to a minimum. A+ for a $50 mod, also it took only 20min to install. Yeah for the GR rear end being so easy to work around.
Nice!

Wow the sti bars is thicker. I think I'm gonna have to do the same. Thanks for the comparison pic.
How did it go RAPTR? Is there any point in swapping out the front sway too or are they the same as the fxt stock?? Do you know the torque settings for the sways? I'm really looking forward to following in your foot steps..

Torque Specs for rear sway bar attachment:
Endlink bolts - 32.5ft/lbs
Sway bar bracket bolts - 30ft/lbs

The front sways are the same. I haven't got a caliper reading on the front yet but I'm pretty sure they are the same. If I was going to replace the fronts it would be aftermarket 22mm.

I really hope you are enjoying your ride as much as I do. I love the uniqueness of this model. I get more compliments on this car than my previous 06 STi. Let me know if I can help out in anyway.
