Well, I did my first drain today.
You need:
17mm socket/wrench.
4L of Subaru Trans fluid
I drained 3.5L
A long narrow spout funnel.
I did not jack the car up. The drain plug is easy to reach.
The plug is not a magnet. I will replace with a magnet version before next drain and fill.
Once I put in 3.3L I ran the car until warm and measured. Hit full on my first attempt.
Easy job. Very easy.
I torqued the plug to 18 lb ft.
