08 STI Steering wheel in 09 FXT

Hey fellas,
Its me again and I had to try and fit a 08-10 STi steering wheel in my Fozz because for 1. my steering wheel is plastic and i want leather, and 2. STi airbag, baby. I'm not doing a write up on how to install a steering wheel because everyone on here seems to be tool literate. Everything swap directly with no modifications, yeah! Also, the CD controls work exactly the same. The only hard part was finding the wheel because all the WRX guys are fighting for them too. Good hunting!

Oh and just to let you guys know, if you were to only find the STi airbag, it will swap directly onto the Fozz steering wheel, just FYI.

Nice!

For those of you who want to do the 08+ STI into 03-08 Foresters, there is a write up on NASIOC now.

Official DIY: How to swap an 08 STi steering wheel into an 05 Sti (fully functional!) - NASIOC

Note: For 03-05 Foresters, swap the airbag over to the 08+ STI cover.
sweet, i love your 09!
Thanks man. So what do you guys think about me trying a WRX AT cluster? I've been able to find a couple of them. They are red illuminated instead of the blue. The blue has been growing on me but I've always liked all red leds.
Do you still have the old plastic wheel? I have a 2010 and I am thinking about having the wheel customized by Craft Customs in Rockwall, TX. I would include a link but I haven't posted enough threads so the forum won't let me do it. Google will get you there though.

Anyhow, I have to either send them the wheel from my ride (which would make it pretty tricky to drive while the work is being done) or another core. Maybe we can work out a deal.
