Ok, so long story short, I decided to purchase a STI RA shortblock new from subaru to replace my worn out ej257 in my forester, having my b25 heads reworked.
The issue I'm running into is the gaskets. I cannot get a direct answer from anyone, as to which gasket set I will need to use to complete the install.
The only thing that's changing engine wise is going to be the new shortblock. I did get an answer that the RA head gaskets are their own part number from subaru.
This feels like it's most likely going to be a trial, and error type situation. I've always heard to match head gaskets to the block, so should I try RA HG, and the remaining for my 04xt? I was planning on using cometic gaskets.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to consider JE Pro Seal Head Gaskets. I’m running a WoolmanPerformance block, they are all rated at 650+ HP and the builder is well respected.
