Is it just me or does the heated mirrors and windshield turn off after a few minutes.

I'm wondering if i have a short or if this is a timed circuit

Nice, I've been freaking out cause i've only had the car a couple of weeks and was dreading tracing the wiring, especially since it had a new heated winshield put in the day before i bought the car.

Any idea the time that the relay stays on or is it a random 3-5 mins or so

Not sure how long, but mine is the same length as the rear defrost.

At least on the Canadian models the rear defroster switch also operates the heated mirrors (standard) as well, timed for 15 minutes. Same for the heated windhield switch, timed for 15 minutes.
