I purchased this forester with 189k miles for $2500 from a local subaru guru. It belonged to the guru's uncle who owned it in Maryland for its whole life, and at that time had a blown headgasket. The guru took if off his uncle's hands to sell it for him and in the mean-time replaced the head gasket, timing belt, water pump, and valve cover gaskets. When I bought the car, the major issues were solved, but the car was disgusting inside and out. So I have spent my time with the car cleaning, maintaining, and fixing issues when they arise. The car looks like a different vehicle then when I bought it, and I love it.
