General Information

Satin White Pearl
XT Touring
My second Forester was purchased with 71K on the ODO. I picked the Foz up in Key Largo, Florida. The car accumulated all miles in South Carolina and Florida so no road salt exposure. Taken to Stage 2 + within 500 miles of purchase.
After selling my stage 3 STI swapped 2005 Forester XT to help fund and facilitate the move from Missoula, Montana, to Orlando, Florida, I spent a few months daily driving my wife's 2014 Outback 2.5i. Missing the boat on a few WRXs and STIs, getting priced out of manual FXTs, and disgust for the Outback led me to caving on a relatively low mile 2011 FXT. Without doing any more research (I didn't even know that the car was Touring trim or what that included) than looking at the very clean Carfax and detailed photos of the vehicle, I haggled with the salesperson and picked up what has been the cleanest used Subaru I have owned yet.

I am at the crossroads now where my lack of research in to the potential of this SH generation has bit me. Time to face the dilemma of going beyond stage 2 and getting to the power and handling that is obtainable and what I had in mind with the car from day one.. however, that means living with the dog poop SH "Sport Shift" 4EAT. Or taking the power and handling money and putting it in to a trans swap to manual and living with the subpar power and handling until the next round of money goes in to the valves/gaskets. Had I known the "sport shift" erased the lockout function of the jig-saw 4EAT I would have never touched this car.

Anyway, here is my FXT as she sits. Thanks for stopping by.
