  1. ('09-'13) Keep or trade in????

    Problems, Maintenance, and Warranty
It’s leaking oil onto the ground to the point of me needing to monitor and replace oil every couple hundred miles or so. I think I’ll do the repairs if you think $2500 for HG, sway bar links, ball joints and a radiator is worth it to keep the car instead of trade it in. If so, I’ll hold off on...
  2. ('09-'13) Keep or trade in????

    Problems, Maintenance, and Warranty
I will ask him about the coolant. If it’s just oil leaking out of the Heads what other repair would there be besides replacing the gaskets? Also, the Subaru dealer (who is a Subaru specialist of course) said HGs are needed. Also, I’ll ask what the mechanic thinks about your transmission...
  3. ('09-'13) Keep or trade in????

    Problems, Maintenance, and Warranty
I think the only urgent repair is the HG, sway bar links and ball joints. The radiator isn’t urgent but for $130 while the engine is out it makes sense don’t you think?

  5. Deal or No Deal?

Good point about the insurance! I will call them today. I am also having it looked at by my mechanic later today. Wouldn't buy one without doing that for sure. The Subaru dealership here wants $98 to look at it by my shop will do it for free. Resale value wise I'm not too concerned bc I plan...
  6. Deal or No Deal?

This is my first post here! I have been in the used Subaru market for over a year now. For most of that time a 2005-2009 Outback was my top choice. I drove a couple of Foresters lately and really enjoyed the handling even over the Outbacks. Anyone else agree? Now there's an opportunity for me...
