Welcome to the forum. Word of warning: after people buy their first Subaru, they seldom go back to other brands. Those that do compare everything to their old Subaru and wish they still had it. Another thought to consider: look at the option list. You can often get exactly what you want by...

I have to agree with hoshie, however, my son weighs a heck of a lot more than yours. Welcome to the forum. Your story sounds similar to ours. We bought our Subaru in the same day it was taken off the truck as well.

Welcome to the forum. My wife is on her 5th Subaru and second Forester. I would agree that it is the perfect vehicle for Alberta driving. Add winter tires and you would be unstoppable. Let us know if you ultimately decided to buy the Forester.

Welcome to the forum. Nice looking Forester. The advantage of plastidip is that you can change your mind and rub it off if you change your mind. I would think the orange adds to the uniqueness. It also ties the inside to the outside. The question is: can you either remove the orange parts to...

I hope nobody critiques my typing skills to the fourth degree. (Pun intended.) When I post to the forum on my iPhone 10, the type is so difficult to read that I struggle to read what I have typed. The problem for me is worse late in the evening. I have no problem reading what others type, but...

I would think it would take quite a bit of wine to call a Subaru refined like a fine wine but I get your point. It sounds like you found the car for you. The good news for people that love Subaru is that they evolve from generation to generation instead of massive change like so many other...

  15. Hello from the PNW..land of the Subaru

Great looking Forester. Welcome to the forum. It is interesting how popular Subarus are in some areas. In the Mid-Atlantic, 4x4 pickups outnumber Subarus 10 or 20 to 1.

  18. Breaking Forester lease for a 19 RAV4 Hybrid?

    The Relatives
If you have no plans to buy the Forester after the lease, your concerns about the repair issues are not relevant. I would not look at the $13,320 as a loss with no return. I would look at it as $370.00 for the rental of the Forester each month for 36 months. I would compare the lease...
  19. Maintenance vs Resale Value

    Europe
My advice to any buyer of a used car is to buy the lowest mileage, best maintained vehicle you can afford. I tell them it will be worth the extra money for a well maintained vehicle but it will be worth it in the long run. The problem is your vehicle is compared to ones at dealer lots where no...
  20. Breaking Forester lease for a 19 RAV4 Hybrid?

    The Relatives
I would bet that you would loose several thousand getting out of your lease. Your payments to date are not relevant as they related to the time you had the vehicle not the months ahead. Leases spread the cost over the term of the lease and you would be in a position similar to where you would be...
