  1. Renick Subaru Service Dept, Fullerton, Ca.

    Dealer/Vendor Reviews
Renick sucks! Don't take your car there. Took my 17 forester there for its first service and had a few complaints I wanted addressed. They didn't fix anything. They had the car for 3 days and all they did was change oil, rotate tires, and put 21 miles on my car. Didn't fix the alignment, AC, or...
  2. ('14-'18) 2.5i premium tune???

    Engine Management, Tuning and Datalogging
I'd like to get rid of the rev hang that's super annoying going up through the gears and do something about that rough acceleration. Trailer hitching seems like a decent explanation. Kind of a light bucking at lower rpm. Any way to get a tune for a 17 2.5i 6M?
  3. Water stains on brand new upholstery

    Car Care
Buy a Bissell Spot Clean Pro. They aren't that much and you'll definitely get your money out of it after cleaning the seats the first time. You can buy cleaning solution with scotchgard built in...
  4. (All Years) Roof Rack / Aero Bars Q/Help

    Utility and Protection
There are a bunch of cross bar choices on amazon. I haven't purchased yet, but probably after I get around to installing the tow hitch.
  5. Finally got my 2017 Premium 6M

Ok. If it's still acting strange with the sort of bucking on acceleration at first service I'll definitely tell the service writer. Wasn't expecting rough running on a brand new car almost $30k. I have also noticed the idle is a little rough. Just enough to rock the car back and forth a bit...
  6. ('14-'18) 2017 6mt Gas pedal too far right

    Interior and Electronics
I just got the same car and haven't noticed gas pedal placement problem. I'd be surprised if you could do much to change it but might be a pedal assembly you could bolt in place. Maybe from another model.

It's my first Subaru. I'm normally a Toyota guy, but the RAV4 has no manual transmission option. I wasn't a big fan overall of the Mazda CX5, but the transmission shifted really nicely.

No eyesight with manual, kind of a bummer, but stick was a requirement for me. Honestly, my favorite color is the bronze. Only available in top trim. Out of my price range! The gray interior isn't that bad at all, especially with the tinted glass. The carpeting and everything else is black...

Love it so far. Need to get used to the seating position and whatnot. Got the windows tinted with Llumar ceramic. Air 80 on the windshield, 30% front doors, 15% all around the back on top of the factory tint. 5% on the sunroof.
  10. ('14-'18) (14+) 2.5i 15" offroad wheels (method502 VT specs)

    Wheels and Tires
Hey that's' interesting! You'd get a much smoother ride with smaller wheels and more sidewall...
  11. ('14-'18) EZ lip kit

    Exterior and Body
I think most people could lower their Forester and never miss the ground clearance, but depends what you use your own car for. Never leave the pavement? You could lower it a lot and still accomplish everything you want.

Can 15" wheels really be installed on newer Foresters?
  13. I just brought my 2017 2.5i Premium home what?

    General Forum
I should be getting mine this weekend. Been waiting a couple months already because I wanted stick. I plan on installing a tow hitch and wiring, installing some roof rail bars and maybe a basket or something, getting the windows tinted all around including windshield and sunroof with ceramic...
  14. Back seat pet cover

    Utility and Protection
Just a note, if you have a Sams club membership, they have these for $20 right now. I picked up 2 of them.
  15. Best roof rack for 2016 Forester.

    Utility and Protection
I'll definitely be looking on craigslist when the Forester shows up. Are the rails all pretty universal, or is there anything else I should really be looking for?
