It's not an easy task to assemble the diff properly afterwards, when changing some parts in there.
I'd say get another used diff with the same ratio, they aren't that expensive.

Well, I can't complain about it in any way. Does it's job well. They say that every engine burns the 300V a little more than some other, but my freshly rebuilt motor consumed a bit less than 3/4...

And in gearbox/diff 75w140.
I do drive quite agressively (sometimes on track) and I have engine block and oilpan heaters.

Atleast the baby will be driven home in a Subaru (jdm v3 sti, loaner from a friend)
