Some people wouldn't touch a car at that milage, but if you wrench on your own car, it's no biggie. If you plan on having a shop do the work, it can get pricey quick.

If it's the original turbo,...

It's not an issue with only AWD cars, but an issue using open diffs. Both AWD and 4WD vehicles (yes, even Jeeps) that have open diffs will do the "diagonal spin". This is...

That looks like dried sap marks to me. If you let sap hit your paint and dry, the sap will etch/eat at your paint. This is not a problem unique to Subaru, but all manufacturers. Rain alone doesn't do...

This is why VDC is not standard on all vehicles now. Allows them to run open diffs but have the braking of those wheels for maximum traction in slippery conditions. It works when you stay on the gas,...

Very simple test to see if you spun a bearing or not. Drain the oil, check for flakes/chunks of metal. If you spun a bearing, and have been driving it, there'll be bits of metal in there somewhere.

You can't tow an automatic because the A/T fluid has no way of being pumped as the car is not on, therefore the transmission cannot circulate fluid. On a manual, neutral is neutral, so you're fine.
