i just mentioned it to nate, but then thinking of cold weather i wanted to ask you lol.
you ever hear this sound once you first get moving after sitting in the cold for a while? like a super high pitched whine/whistle. like an old hand crank fire siren type thing..

|Superacerc||Just to clarify from the picture above. In that thread another guy finds that by grounding a certain pim on the ecu it tells the ecu its manual and negates loss of signal from tcm cel lights. I already found that in the wiring although at the time I saw it I didn't know why it was grounded. Just that it was different from auto.|

|Superacerc||Found outthat ecus are identical minus one oin you have to ground out that I already identified in the schematic.|

Found some info on leaving the auto ecu in a manual tranny swap. This is exactly what I was thinking would work since the wirings are so similar. No need for abs/ecu/yaw sensor.
The OP didnt know how to get this to work on regular ecu buttge guy in my picture explains it.
Its on like donkey kong folks.
Heres a link to the original thread.

Some locals. Im not even in town and my foz still has fun with his friends.

|Turbaru||Legacy 6 speed is same strength-wise, but 5th and 6th gears are longer and they don't have lsd in front. Also no dccd.|

Rim Test fit looks like a go. Thoughts?
Now I just need a train track, cowboy hat, locomotive, hover board, and 88 mph and ill be set.

Im open to suggestions. I probably will make due right after swapping till I can fund a descent turbo. I really like the one thats on the sti ive been working on. Gt52 from element tuning. Its quasi stock location but is canted slightly so an inlet change is necessary and 3.
Im all ears though. All suggestions will be considered.

|nate_fisher||I am def in for results you will be glad you didnt go with the built auto in the end. What i wouldnt give to rev past 6300 rpm lol. I also have some suggestions on some turbos and kits to get you into that 550whp range if you want some ideas as a stock location turbo will not be ideal at that power point.|

I want the dccd but otherwise the legacy 6 spd is supposed to be nearly identical strength wise.
Good point on the sti ecu the older stis dont have an adjustable exhaust cam but I dont think that ecu would work either so its going to be an 08+wrx ecu.
Im going to see what happens. Itd be convienent if the forester one works. Slightly less if not but making the changes will be nearly the same as the wrx one anyway so if it fails I just switch anf im already wired nearly the same minus 1 or 2 things.

Have you thought about using a six speed from a legacy gt? Not sure how strong they are but I don't think they have the dccd.
I don't think you could use the sti ecu as the sti has adjustable exhaust cams.
I'm very curious about getting the forester ecu to work with a six speed good luck.
