Default A true testament to the Subaru braking system...

My friend that owns an Impreza and I were going 40 on a wet, foggy road, and we were unable to see the line of cars stopped ahead of us.

Thank god for the Subaru... any other car and it would have been .

We ended up left of center about 4 inches from the car in front of us. Note to self...

It would be nice to see standardized rear fog lights for all cars and trucks in the US and Canada like they have in the UK.

Glad you avoided disaster!

While I agree, rear fog lamps are a very good idea. No offense but most US drivers are clueless to how to use even front fog lamps no less rear ones. I've seen too many Jags, Volvos and Range Rovers driving around with the rear fog on blinding me on a nice sunny day.

Come on Peaty, you have to have all those lights on if you want people to notice you!

I was considering installing a rear fog on the gate door with a kit from Dan Stern's site but chickened out.....I wanted to do it right by insetting the lamp (from a C5 Corvette) into the sheet metal on the driver's side but just got too lazy.

Now that I no longer have the horrid commute that I used to have when we lived in NJ, I've let that job drop. I do have an under-the-bumper Lucas rear fog that I used to have on my 1976 Accord, hooked up to come on with my front Marchal Fogs......it was truly sweet and a huge help when I used to do my long drive in Conn.

I wonder why USDM cars do not come with rear fog lights? My old Discovery had rear fogs, and I thought they really made a difference when driving in the Idaho snow and fog.

I totally agree that most folks with rear fogs, and front for that matter, aren't too keen on when to use them.

Glad you got your brake on siebsy!
