Best Mud Flaps Ever?

Quite possibly so!

I've thus far tried RallyArmour and Primitive flaps and as of this past Friday, I'm now running Gorilla flaps. These things are the real deal. They're super durable, very thick and came with all the mounting hardware you could ever need.

With the Primitive flaps I first used, I had to drill my own holes in the front flaps and cut the actual flaps because they weren't a direct fit (maybe I was sent the wrong set?). Either way, those flaps took way too long to install and were probably my second favorite as far as functionality.

The RallyArmour flaps seemed like they're more for aesthetics than actual function as they were tiny and didn't do much protecting (although they looked nicer than the Primitive flaps). This brand of mud flaps comes in last place out of the three I tried.

Then we have Gorilla mudflaps.. The mounting hardware with these flaps is by far the best of the three and took a total of one hour to install (including taking off all my wheels, etc). There are spacers for the rear flaps on the inner mounting point so they flaps actually were straight instead of curved like the other two brands. These flaps are also very thick and seem like they will be much more durable than the others. I love how they come with optional vinyls for that extra bling as well. My only complaint with the Gorilla flaps thus far is that the said vinyl was hard to apply (but I bet warmer weather would have solved this issue).

All in all, I highly recommend Gorilla mud flaps, and at $90, they're priced pretty competitively too! You can pick up a set from here, although I would send an email to them to make sure you get the correct ones for your Foz!

I'm not really wanting Gorilla written large on my mudflats. Do they have blanks, or ones that say "Neanderthal" or other choice words instead?

Probably some fine emery cloth and elbow grease will take care of that, er, bonus feature.

Not quite sure how Gorilla is a choice word?

I have them on my SH forester.
Derek at Gorilla is great to deal with, and has promptly answered all my emails.
The Gorilla lettering comes as seperate stickers - you can choose to stick them on or not - i am planning on getting some WRC logos to stick onto mine (seeing as i am a massive rally fan)

Plus, white gorilla lettters on snoshado's flap are because he is sponsored by gorilla. For us regular Joe shmo guys, the gorilla vinyl stickers are black, much more subtle.

Yup, the lettering is optional. Just vinyl! I'll see about dimensions one of these days ;)

Are they flat mudflaps that you just rivet into place or are the molded to fit the inside of the wheel well?

They are flat, and they come with all the mounting hardware.

They screw into place, and the screws force them to flex to fit the side of the wheel well.

The back ones for the SH even have a spacer to fit on one of the screws so it fits properly

They take maybe an hour to fit, I did mine pretty quickly, even when I had to stop and clear some dust/mud out from behind the original mudflaps

What is the mounting hardware like?

That was one of my concerns when I got my RAs. For the price, I expected some better mounting hardware.

Aliens? Us? Is this one of your Earth jokes?
