My son's clock doesnt work and would like to buy another...... at a reasonable price. New or used. Let me know what you want for it and no, I'm not going to pay retail for a new one or anywhere near retail for a used one. There's a clock on the radio.. so it's just a "look" thing, not nessasary.
Thanks |

It always helps to indicate the year/model the part you are looking for as many will not know the part number itself. After checking your Public Profile (which many would not do), I see you have some information that your son's Forester is a 99, so this will save you some money if you are handy. Oh no my clock doesn't work
Cheers Doug

It is for a 99 and I believe any 98-02 clock should work.
I was looking for cold solders or anything obvious under a glass and saw nothing. Got power to the board but nothing to the display. Thanks |

It appears that #510 is the often most point of failure. I had a 99 as well and my clock failed, I replaced it. Many years later that thread appeared and I dug up the clock from the parts bin, checked it out and sure enough the solder connection was broken (very hard to tell). Re-soldered it, tested it (it worked), and gave it to my mechanic so he could eventually help out someone else who's clock failed.

I have a working clock on my desk right now. You can have it for 20.00 shipped to you.
Let me know if that fits your needs. Mike |
