So I'm not sure what i just did to my car. I was coming around a tight bend from a stop and gave some boot in first. The back end slid alittle and then straightened out and i kept going. well as soon as the car straightened out, my clutch started having absolutely no feel. by the end of my 10 min, trip the clutch is getting worse, i can't get the car into 1st or reverse and its not liking 5th much either. any thoughts?
1.) Could be a hydraulic issue... get under the hood , even remove the TMIC if need be, and thouroughly check the master/slave cyl for the clutch and the 1 foot line that goes between the two. Could be a leak or even low on fluid.
Try pumping the clutch, see if that improves feel or not.
2.) Could be a clutch issue itself. Its not uncommon for throwout bearings to go bad, pressure plate splines to warp or damper springs in the disc to come loose and jam between the flywheel and disc. If you find no leaks or issues with the clutch hydraulic system, this would be your next place to look. Perfect excuse to upgrade to a stage 1 exedy HD kit, or ACT street kit.
For your sake and from what you explained, its likely a hydraulic issue, which may be a pain to fix, but its not terribly complicated and relatively inexpensive.
what is the part # for the ACT kit, I can't find it on their website? (The stage one hdss)
