Per Paul Eklund at Primitive, the Subaru VSC is much less intrusive than many other systems. They use the factory "VCS off" button for racing! It affects many, if not all, the various alphabetical system parameters.
Now, it may well be that the STI stability mapping is more generous than that of the Forester. If so, putting a Forest engine map in a STI ECU should be within the competency of a host of tuners. However, the STI stability map in a vehicle with a much higher center of gravity might not be the brightest idea in the world. Caution:Paul Eklund advises that massive wiring loom changes might be necessary, [IMHO it's a big unknown].
Big thank you to Pleiad7 for the suggestion to contact Paul.
Suddenly realized this is probably not the correct thread. Could a moderator please relocate it? I don't see a way to delete it so I could move it.
