just a quick question for you, when the centre bearing went on my old l/rover i removed the prop and was able to drive with front wheel drive only, is it possible to do the same with my forester? can i remove the propshaft and drive in 2wheel/front wheel drive as a temporary measure??
The center differential is a viscus diff. The bulk of the power goes the path of least resistance, in this case to the rear drive shaft which would not be there.
