Wondering if there is a fix to this. Usually 1st and 2nd gear with mild acceleration and deceleration my car lurches back and forth. Any ideas? I know this is a common thing with standard trannys.
Fill the rear differential mount bushing with windshield polyurethane adhesive. Those bushing are really soft from factory and age does not help either.
There is a polyurethane replacement bushing available but its hard to install.
I also would recommend Kartboy comfort outrigger bushing.
The rear differential moves so much due to soft bushing. The rear differential carrier also have so much slop that increase the amplitude of the rocking you feel.
Basically you need to fill all the gaps in bushing. The OEM bushing are soft and have a lot of void in them. Filling that with the urethane reduce the amount of flex the diff could move quite considerably and get rid that really annoying on off throttle oscillation .
