Anyway to ID 4eat?

Just acquired a very clean 06 xt but i think it has an older 4eat installed into it, i have a pretty bad driveline vibe until the tcu disengages the transfer clutch. It also tends to slam from into 2nd and also does the lag slam shift from 2-3. It looks like the trans has been changed but it has no external markings. Besides the ratio's not matching, is there any other differences between the 05 and 06 on 4eat's? I'm hoping its got an 05 trans and then I can nab a 4.44 rear diff and pit that in. Any help?

There is no transmission ID number on the front of the bell housing? It should look something like this (the number starting with TZ):

~ Silke ~
'04 FXT 4EAT PSM - "Subed Up"
'98 S 4EAT DBP - "Slynki"

Nope no tags or stickers. Looks like whoever changed the transmission washed them off. I decided to take the gamble and stuck a 4.44 rear diff in and that fixed the vibe and flashing awd light. I also drained about 6 qts of fluid out of the trans and stuck atf-hp in her. It still has the crummy 2-3 shift but all is well. Now I've got a very rare 2006 xt 4eat with 4.44 final drive. It does seem alot quicker now.
