I was poking around the web for ATF that would be suitable for the 4EAT in my 2013 Forester. Dealer has the Subie ATF-HP, but the price is a little steep for me. Beck-Arnley has the Idemitsu ATF-HP on Amazon at a little more reasonable price.
Knowing about Toyota transmissions being finicky from my family, I was wondering if anyone had used Valvoline Import Multi-Vehilce? They show "suitable for use" in Subaru vehicles requiring ATF-HP, but I was wondering if anyone had actual experience with it.
Thanks!
I'd go with the Beck ATF-HP before a multi-vehicle spec.
In my experience vehicles that required the old Dex III fluid tolerate multi-spec better than the ATF-HP ones. Seems to be a particular issue for the ones that came with ATF-HP from the factory.
I knew that some fluid stays in there, but that is quite a bit. I thought the total capacity was 9.8 quarts....
Anyone have a definative consensus on the best ATF fluid to use in the 4EAT?
Cheers!
