Default Parking lights stay on

Hi all,

My parking lights stay on right now when the car is on/running. This started occurring after I used my DC adapter (plugged into the cigarette lighter) to power my laptop in the car for about an hour while idling in park. To turn them off when parked, I have to pull the fuse. I have to put the fuse back in when driving at night.

What do you think caused this strange behavior?

Thanks,
David

If you didn't find your battery dead, you got off easier than me!:)

No dead battery here. I had to go to the airport for a business trip and couldn't afford to let my battery drain so I started pulling fuses when I parked at the airport. LOL.

This mistake is part of the initiation to Subaru ownership. Everyone makes that mistake once.

Smart guy... I actually know people who would have called road side assistance for that!

You have no idea how many times this question has been asked..
Probably 90% of first-time Subaru owners have faced the same dillema.

Seeing as how you're a new Subaru owner may I suggest the following for your future questions (in this order):

1) Read the manual!
It has a lot of extremely important information.
2) Check out the FAQ section....
It was made to answer a bunch of questions you will have very soon.
3) Use the search function.
It's much faster and very useful.

That lil switch is awesome. Next time you hop in your fo, just flip it for fun. it makes a cool clicking noise. (perhaps its the one 'new' part left in the car...) :D

You're in the club now and get to chuckle at the next Subie newbie! Inwardly of course, because we're laughing with you and not at you. Sadly this right of initiation is passing on into the mists of time because FHI is dropping the trick park switch from new models.
