My wifes car is a 2003 N/A Forester with an Automatic with 116,000kms on it.

A couple weeks ago it flashed the P0301 code and sputtered a bit, then ran normal. I'm also told sometimes on start up it shakes and bucks violently before going back to normal (I still havnt been able to get it to do this) and sometimes it will start normally and then the rpms drop and it dies and it does this a few times before it starts and stays going.

Now, this morning the AT TEMP light was flashing. Can all of these problems be connected?

IDK if those codes are all connected, but I am experiencing the same P0301 when my '06 is stone cold. Once it warms up. it runs fine. I have 2.5 N/A with a manual trannie and 185k miles on the clock.

Mine is not bucking or shaking, but sputtering, and only when the engine is stone cold. Meaning, Monday morning when the outside temp is 25 and it sat in my driveway all weekend, the last time the car was started was Friday past. That is what I mean when I say stone cold. For example, this morning it was 19 outside, and my car started and ran fine.
