Default ABS light

HI. I was trying to get out of my street, got a little stuck, got unstuck, but now my ABS light is on. Is this something I need to worry about, what do I need to do. It feels like the ABS has stopped working. Why did this happen. I left my manual at work. HELP!!

You can refer to a copy of the manual for your car online at mysubaru.com.

I still don't know why it happend, but it did it again. Like you I was backing up to get onto the road. I think it has to do with the high reving. Last time it reset it self and all was fine, so I bet yours will to. Let me know what happens with yours. Have a good chrismas.

Persistent wheel spin might cause the ABS to shut down. It depend on correct wheel speed sensing, and spinning tires might confuse the system. Just a speculation, I don't know. If this is the case, it should reset itself when car is restarted.

good luck

I just had this happen to me as well while spinning in the deep snow. The light went away after about 15 minutes.
