Default 90K service question

Local dealership charges $445 for it. There is another in the area but they don't post their price (and it's less convenient). So, does this seem like a decent price to those more experienced folks? I've also got a coupon for 10% off and a free loaner for the day. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

if they replace coolant, brake fluid, both diffs, engine oil, and plugs its not too bad (make sure it includes parts/fluid.).

I would do it myself if you can.

+3 good deal and they give a loaner car, but it also sounds like a fun DIY day for myself.

By the time 90k miles rolls around most of us have tended more toward the 'as required' aspect of things rather than adhering to the complete maintenance schedule. The only really rigid number in that range is the complete timing belt job at 105.

You can compare the dealer's list to Subaru's 2006 Maintenance Schedule.

Also, the 105K mile service is a big one, as it includes changing the engine drive belts and camshaft (timing) belt (along with idlers, etc.). You might do "what's necessary" now, and then do a major service combo at 105K.

Thanks for the input. I can do about half myself, but thought i might just get it all taken care of at the dealership as i thought i should stick to the schedule, but based on everyone's advise I'm changing my mind. I'll do the oil myself now since its due and will wait till summer to do the rest. I go home (Maine) and my dads buddy has a lift and lots of car knowledge so it will become a good learning day for me. Thanks again folks!
