Default JDM STI intercooler fitment

I have a line on a JDM STI intercooler. I have read that it is 15% larger than the USDM STI intercooler and some people have put them on the WRX's. Has anyone installed or does anyone know if this intercooler will fit on my 2005 FXT? Im doing a VF39 swap. Im paying $200 for the JDM intercooler.

AFAIK they are the same as our 08+ STI intercoolers. Even has the dent in the top endtank. I run one and so do several others (08+ STI that is). You will need to bend and or protect one of your AC lines. Also fab a extension for the passenger bracket or just delete it as I did. Depending on how much it is I wouldn't pay any more than you could pick up a 08+ STI for. They are great intercoolers and are VERY underrated compared to aftermarket big core TMIC's.

Ok I thought it would have the top cut out aswell but it does not. Im so confused as to what intercooler it is. Here are some pictures. He said it was off a JDM 2.0 STI. Will this intercooler fit and is it big enough upgrade for my vf39?

Just looks like a run of the mill GD STI intercooler. I wouldn't pay a premium for it, just what you would pay for a USDM 04-07 STI. What is he asking for it?

Im getting it for $200 shipped. Hey I messed up here is the other picture he sent me. This is the "JDM" one as you can see it is .5'' bigger than the usdm pictured above.

Figured it out. Its a V7 JDM intercooler for a cable driven TB. Can't use it.

$200 is too much for an STI intercooler anyways. I just bought a minty STI intercooler for my 04 XT for $130 complete with couplers and y-pipe.

You got a steal then as most STI intercoolers go for $250-$300 shipped and the JDM STI intercoolers go for more. If it is $200.00 I would jump all over it.
