Default VisionX Lights

Does anyone have experience with these?
I know the majority are Hellas but I'm still looking around;

considering the 6510 Halogens right now

plus they are on Pats Car:

oh yeah and these other guys

100W bulb.

Be sure to use the appropriate gauge wire and relay.

Looks fine bu the size seems odd. The hella 500FF are only about 2-3" deep where these are 5.5". Make sure you have the space to mount them. Especially if on a light bar. Most bars wont give you 6"

these use the same casing as the HID version, so it's a bit deeper.
but down the road you can buy the guts and upgrade if you like

Where are you mounting them? IN BC you are not allowed to put them on your roof.

Got a light bar?

not yet, might be in the works..

my toyota used to have 2x100wx6" and 2x100wx4" on the winch, much easier to bolt up on the front of that than the forester.. I'm not putting them behind the grille b/c I remember the heat those things threw off..ymmv
not a huge fan of roof lights either

I had a set of the HID 8500 on my old 4Runner. They were pretty nice. O also had a LED light bar which is now on the Forester. Kinda pricey stuff though........ that's the only downside. The casing is a bit more heavier than say a light-force light
Has anybody every heard of or ran these lights on their rig?

what size LED bar do you have? how do you like it?
they seem like a great idea, throw alot of light and don't draw very much.
$pendy though.. how does it do as a spot/driving lamp?

I have a 12" bar. It is very nice, but wish that it was cheaper. It basically throws a lot of light everywhere for a short distance in front of the vehicle. very nice for lighting up the sides and ditches of the road. It is more of a flood beam than a pencil beam. It is a very white light so it takes some getting used to compared to the yellow from halogen bulbs.

Can't tell if these lights have a replaceable lens. Might be important if you follow someone on a gravel road.

they are available with polycarbonate covers, come with solid black but can get yellow/blue/clear/etc.. they are similair to the lightforce ones.

I should just do it right and order a pod..
