Question Corrosion on Battery Terminals

The battery terminals on our '99 Forester (140k miles) has had white/blue-ish corrosion on it for as long as we've had it (about 2 years). When starting it, for the very first second the engine turns over slowly but thereafter it always catches. I had the battery tested and it's fine. It's been this way for 2 years. What other than the battery could be the problem? I've cleaned the corrosion off the battery terminals and w/i weeks (months?) the corrosion comes back.

Clean it and put those Red/Green felt things under the connectors.

Be careful what you wish for.

No battery corrosion on any of our batteries. First of all, how's the water level of the battery? If it's low, it could be gassing & causing the corrosion. Most people never check the water level, thinking the no maintenance battery requires no maintenance. Remember to use only distilled water. When you cleaned the corrosion off (terminal brush), did you coat the terminals with a grease, like dielectric grease. I prefer NO-OX-ID "A", or No.2-EJC (electrical joint compound), which can be found at most hardware stores. I'd also recommend using the green & red terminal rings.
