Installed mine recently on an SG. Great output, highbeams work fine. I need to aim it better though.

My only problems right now are no foglights, and the highbeam indicator on the dash is on all the time, regardless of it being on low or highbeam. (Yes DRL is disabled)

I can live with out the fogs, but the dash light is a PITA.

Here are some pics of my install. Painted the reflector black and removed the amber. Added amber LED's for the running lights on the corner and the top. The brights are to die for!

Are they legal? Do the inner highbeams still work? If so how does that look when the bi-xenons are on highbeam? I have the standard Subaru lowbeam xenons here in Aust but they remain on as lowbeams when switching to the inner highbeams. They give excellent lighting especially with the +50 highbeam bulbs. Here by law they have to be self-levelling with washers too.

I have added a wire harness that allows the stock high beams as well as the HID highs to come on together. It is the best light I have ever had from any car I have owned! Is it legal? Im not sure on that one.

Codered- that's amazing work!!! Can you take pixs of the amber markers and front night shots? I had to hold off on mine due to time and funds. Any members looking to build a set for a few bucks? My tax return should be here soon. Lol

Thanks. Another question, what did you use to clamp the headlights after you resealed them?

Most of us 03-05 SG owners have a weird wiring glitch with the relay from Morimoto where there is feedback or a ground loop with the fogs.

OK mine is installed and at first it was GREAT. Then I remembered to disable the drl which I then did. The next night I went for a drive and about 5 minutes in (bear with me),

the cutoff shield solenoids engaged on their own and left me lighting up the sky and the high beam indicator on the dash was dimly lit. My stock high beams also were half lit up (like DRLs). Flicking the stalk to high beam now engages the cutoff shield in the passenger side headlight leaving me with a half high half low beam situation and the stock driver's side high beam goes to full brightness but the passenger stock high beam turns off. When I flick the stock back to normal, the passenger side cutoff slowly disengages.

I checked my fuses and one of the 15a fuses for the headlight was blown. I replaced it, fired the headlights up, and same problem. checked the fuse, and it was blown.

MAYBE? I should plug the DRL back in? Any suggestions?

Did you have your foglamps on? If the car doesn't recognize a load on the main headlamps, and the fog lamps are on, it'll cause the high beams (or the high beam cutoff shield in your case) to "stick" on. If they "stick" on, you can turn the fog lamps off, and the high beams will turn back off. This is due to the way the headlamp assembly and fog lamp wiring is wired together. Only way around this is to either not run fog lamps, or to use a seperate wiring relay system (but you can wire in the original switch).

This happened to me when I did my HID conversion. This may or may not be your issue, but I'd give it a try as it happens to everyone who does an HID conversion on the 03-05 SG Fozzies with integrated high/low.

My foglamps were on at the time, but turning them off didn't do anything. I have a 2006 so it's probably not wired the same way. Thanks Bluefox for the help though. I called TRS and they said they had never ran into a problem like this with an SG9. I was told to plug a halogen back into the empty H1 socket I have on the passenger side and see if that helps. I'm going to plug the DRL module back in for $hit$ and gigs first.
