I just purchased a base 09 Forester and want to add foglights. Is this possible using the stock location? It looks like there is some vents in place where the foglights should be. Can I place the foglights here and wire the lights into the fuse box?
Thanks |

I've got an '09 X. Bought the sport grill and a fog light kit. Plan to install them at the same time when I get over being laz... er... busy. I'll shoot some pics of the whole production, but don't hold your breath. May be this fall before I'm over this laz... er... busyness

I've seen the factory fog light kits go for around $250 if you look hard. If I remembered where I'd say. :)
But to answer the question, yes they install in the stock location. The switch is built into the turn signal lever, so the kit includes a new lever that you get to install. I looked at the instructions and it doesn't look TOO bad. At least you don't have to remove the steering wheel. I'm gonna get the kit for mine eventually... Rob
