Default 2009 Forester adding foglights help

I just purchased a base 09 Forester and want to add foglights. Is this possible using the stock location? It looks like there is some vents in place where the foglights should be. Can I place the foglights here and wire the lights into the fuse box?

Thanks

I'm interested in the answer to this question as well.....there is a fog light kit I believe. Does it come with a switch that mounts on the dash? Plug and play install perhaps?

I've got an '09 X. Bought the sport grill and a fog light kit. Plan to install them at the same time when I get over being laz... er... busy. I'll shoot some pics of the whole production, but don't hold your breath. May be this fall before I'm over this laz... er... busyness

You can check with some of the sponsors here or check on Ebay. There is a Subaru dealer on there that sells the foglight kit (Byers Imports I think). I purchased a couple of other add-ons there and they were great.

I've seen the factory fog light kits go for around $250 if you look hard. If I remembered where I'd say. :)

But to answer the question, yes they install in the stock location. The switch is built into the turn signal lever, so the kit includes a new lever that you get to install. I looked at the instructions and it doesn't look TOO bad. At least you don't have to remove the steering wheel.

I'm gonna get the kit for mine eventually...

Thanks for the help. It looks like I will purchase the factory foglight kit. How good are the factory fog lights? The integrated switch is worth the kit.

I have an 09 Limited that came with the fog lights. I'm not impress with the output. In the manual, it's listed as 51w. Not sure if that's the bulb rating or the fog light voltage is reduced.
