I've been trying to get out to Rockfalls but the last 2 Sports Compact days were rained out. I really would like make the next one but it doesn't look good for me.

SkateandDestroy - 1.959 60', 13.647@99.64 ('04 FXT, 4EAT, JBP) DEIKSTUV*@

First time ever drag racing...kinda dissapointed but I was nervous...At least I was consistent and had a killer reaction time on the one. Planned to get retuned, maybe I can get that trap speed up. MPT transfer clutch (90/10)sucks for cutting 60 foots VF39 is useless after 60mph What good is a high stall converter when your just gonna be spinning the fronts like crazy when you use it?

Vf39
Sti TMIC
Ap V2
Uppipe
Turboback Exhaust
IPT Tranny (3500 stall)

Btw, where do you think I should be shifting 1-2 and 2-3 at?
I ran through the traps in 3rd gear basically at redline with the 4.444 gearing.

I just leave mine in 3rd and let the tranny do the shifting. I doing 13.7@100 with +/- your same mods, minus the tranny work.
Mine is a 06'

I finally got to go to the track last night and I was again disappointed, but this time it had nothing to do with my tune, it was all my Trans and putting down that power. My trans started doing that crap it used to do after level 10 worked on it where it wouldn't shift into second, it would just bounce of the rev limiter at the end of first on a good launch.

Also I Couldn't launch with any boost, because i would just spin off the line. My best time was a 13.3 at 100mph and that was just lucky the rest of the night I couldn't get my 60' times below 2.0 and i couldn't get my quartermile back under 13.5. I'll post the time slips later.

I'll pass I'm done for the season, i'm throwin on my snow tires this week since we already got a few inches up here... I don't wanna get caught in another storm with my G-force sports on, that was a nerve racking experience, especially with the combination of the tires, MPT, and excess torque. I'm gonna see what i can do to get my hands on a VTD diff for the sake of safety and performance.

wow I can't believe you guys are having these problems with the IPT trans and TC installed. I think I might just save for the VTD diff upgrade instead of getting the TC or any other IPT mods. From what I've seen a stock VTD is good for some pretty low 60' times.

That's probably a good idea, the IPT torque converter is almost useless since the MPT can't effectively lay down that power to all 4 wheels. It feels like the MPT only sends power to the rear for a split second at the very beginning of the launch. I noticed in the very first split second of launches the car would squat really hard and lunge forward like a RWD car, but then all the sudden that momentum would disappear as power would be taken from the rear wheels and sent almost completely to the spinning front wheels.

Subaru might as well have put an Open Mechanical diff in there, at least if they put an open diff in we wouldn't have to worry about burning out a clutch pack...

I don't know what the hell mine is doing when I get into boost it just starts shuttering like crazy. I guess it's wheel hop, but I'm starting to wonder if it's the clutch pack slipping. I'm going to start looking into the conversion and trying to see if I can find someone local to do it.

The tranny is awesome as far as the piece of mind, just not kicking butt performance wise b/c of the MPT...The TC is still def. awesome for everyday driving regardless.

The TC + VTD = 1.6 60fts as per Andy's runs...
The TC + MPT = 1.8-2.1 60fts

Im going back Friday, see if I can get lower 60fts this time...

This is the 13.6 run with the 1.959 60ft and perfect reaction time. Not sure what rpm/boost I left the line with. The BMW ran a 12.7 @113

Andy_PHA 2.137 60' 13.681 @ 102.45 (06 FXT, stock 4EAT, CGM) DEISTV (mods this is what's already posted)

This is the best of two runs I did this summer. It's funny how the three of us are so close even though we have 3 drastically different setups. I guess it goes to show that power means nothing if you can't get it to the ground effectively. Oh and yes this is completely stock 4EAT. Seems that you are not seeing the results from the higher stall at all. I just don't understand how i can get that good of a trap but not get the expected ET. I guess it's still all in the 60' times, but it seems it's not much worse that what you guys are seeing, yet you get the same or better ET's with a lower trap. What gives?
