Oh man how I would love to see a bunch of Foresters show up and just line up to watch and then when ya crawl up to the line, we all honk the dookey out of the place. Of course though, we wouldn't want to give them a reason as to why their response time was equivalent to that of an 80 year old...

I think you guys are underestimating the RSX. That car maybe quick. Do you know if he has an LSD? I don't think they have them stock. But, if you are running right around 13.0's, the RSX had better be well sorted out. A 98 Cobra conv.? What, 255 - 260 WHP at best, and a bloated car at that? No way.
You may need to call Rich Christiansen for this deal! : Pinks, neighborhood Grudge match!

You know, what's funny is that I am totally psyched about subscribing to this thread. August 20th is going to feel like Christmas.

Silke toyed with, then smacked down an E39 540i at Infineon. Each time he'd keep coming in a bit hotter into the corner, but she'd hold her line, then pull away from him each time she exited the corner...

VW?? If you're up against a properly tuned R32, I would concern myself a little, but otherwise, there isn't a VW in MOST any neighborhood that could roll with a modded Forester.

The VW might have some issues with their plastic bits...LOL

(I sell a LOT MORE VW parts than Subaru parts....which says something for the VW brand.)

yeah, i played around with his passat on the interstate. went from 50-80 and he pulled away from me. i didn't have it in me to tell him i left it in 5th the whole time. haha. and if i ever come across any vw (new beetle included) with hpa logos anywhere, i'm staying far far away from them, and that's if i'm flooring it. haha. hpa can tune some ridiculously fast cars. those hpa r32s that cost $60k (that's including cost of the car) that can keep up with ferrari enzos.....just evil!

Please please make sure there is anough footage of this... Seeing as you're a little too far away from Australia for me to pop in.

We have these things almost weekly in Sydney, Western Sydney Drag Strip at Eastern Creek Raceway has a street legal car night on Wednesdays. Always a good laugh to watch the kids in their "fully hectic" (it's an Aussie term when they pimp out their POS) little cars, get wiped by us old dudes in family wagons...

Good luck, you've got my vote!!

I can't wait to see what you got planned next! Your car already put us VF turbo users to shame.

I do not really post on this site but this was pretty funny - kill stickers... come on.

I asssume the Jetta is one of the newer/heavier ones that came with a VR6 from the factory as you will destroy one of those no problem.

If not you may have some probs as a old friend of mine had a '85-86 Jetta with a VR6swap, welded diff (dam cheap-skates), slicks, bolt-ons - not sure if he had a small nitrous shot on it but no solenoids or foggers could be seen - that car would run 12.8's like clockwork on the 1/4 mile.

I saw that the other day, absolutely hilarious. Not only did the guy try to stage with his rear wheels, but he tried to launch it in reverse........
