He's 18 now, so hopefully he moves out soon. I'm tired of all his street racer friends reving motors and cranking bass.

If going to jail is considered moving out, that I'm sure it will happen soon. He already has a possession of stolen property under is belt (was caught driving a stolen Integra).

Getting into an accident is one thing, they are called accidents after all. Getting into a wreck 'cause you were street racing (in your aunts car) is inexcusable.

Let's not take this thread too far off-topic and keep it somewhat motorsports-focused, please... thanks.

Two of the original participants got busted for street racing last night.
Damn Street Racers

Looks like it may be down to me and the Mustang, and that guy hasn't got back to me with any info yet either. This sucks. I'm glad the guys got busted street racing, but I really wanted to stomp on some neighbor cars at the track.

I constantly check back on this thread and am sad to hear the news... I was looking forward to a victory video and story. Stupid kids.

When I sold my 2.5RS to this guy it ended up being for his kid who just totaled his Integra. The kid came w/ the dad to pick it up after the Dad test drove it the day before and was so excited to drive it home... I wonder if its still in one piece. He was 17.

Those damn street racers.

I'm glad for this thread, it's helped me remember to be safe. Tonight a lotus was revving his engine on me and I just said meh. In the moment I actually remembered this thread and our discussion. You just can't disrespect safety and prudence as is so easy to do.

I could've taken him though.

^^mmmmm, Lotus. May I love those Elise. I'd be VERY cautious with those cars. They are generally good for very low 13's stock. Man what I would do for a drive in a 111R.

I don't know if any of you are former Honda guys, but that was my lifeblood for a long time. Building single cams and the like.

The K20A2 in the RSX-S is capable of running a 14 flat with bolt ons and a mild kpro tune. The K series engines are really great 2.0L platforms. With a good kit and semi-sticky tires he should be running in the 13's no problem.

2004 Acura RSX Type-s 1/4 mile trap speeds 0-60 - DragTimes.com

That guy with just Type R cams, and bolt ons, untuned, is running a 13.7, which seems reasonable.

I'd expect him to run a low 13 if he was a good driver, or a high 13 if he wasn't (not that it matters anymore )

The Mustang owner came up to me over the weekend and still wanted to know if I was interested in August 20th. It was just going to be me and him, but the track was rained out. They recieved over 1" of rain Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Looks like we will have to run another time. Hopefully soon!

I'm thinking of trying to get some locals together and head to the track. Some VF39 XT vs. VF43 XT, Stock XT AT vs. stock XT MT , and X M/T vs. X A/T action. I think it would be very fun to do!

^^Agreed, that would be a great chance to find out what the cars are capable of in direct comparison to one another. If i still lived in WA, i'd definitely be down for that. What might also be interesting would be some of the 04/05 XTs vs. the 07/08s to see what differences the gearing makes.
