my girlfriend just bought an 04 xc90 two days ago. i must say, that thing feels about as solid as my dad's mdx. very smooth ride too. but yes, definitely not a small suv. that sucker weighs 1000 lbs more than my xt. gets better gas mileage too with the same displacement engine and almost identical hp and torque figures! i'm guessing it's because of the low gearing and awd of the xt.

Yeah but they are only looking at the 1st five years. I bet A3/A4 quickly fall apart after five years.

I was surprised by the XC90 since Consumer Reports rated it low back in 2006.
