Agreed. Purposeful and well-blended, just as the stylists intended.
Later facelifted '06 thru '08 models compromised the purity of the original design (with no offense intended to the many who own and love the later iterations).

Many current Forester owners that value performance as much as utility may find themself in an Exiga few years down the road while the rest will stay with the Forester enjoying its increased comfort and dimensions.
Agreed!

Precisely the words I use to describe the SG Forester compared to my "pure" SF. Those rally style fender blisters and the right side up grill on the SF were just perfect.

I just found my high-school sweetheart's myspace. She was one of the hottest girls in school but now she's 30 and looks like she got hit by a bus. I think the same thing happened to the forester.

This image is getting my hopes up. Certainly looks a bit larger, but not nearly as big as I thought.
Definitely more rugged looking, and it must have a higher center of gravity, but the design is true to the Forester look. I am starting to gain some appreciation.

But, just like the rear Impreza tails, the grill has gots to go!

Which one would serve your needs better? I know you have to haul a ladder on the roof and probably a bunch of tools in the back. Do you feel that you could trade some performance for space or the current combination is just what doctor's prescribed? :)

No I wouldn't change... My boss always tells me for the price I paid I could have got a P/U truck. I tell him I won't drive a P/U after hours. So... I just stick with smoking the big American iron with my wagon and ladders...tools...paperwork....laptop...etc...!

Once I get a company truck is when I'll drive a truck! The new Forester...in my opinion right now will not have the capabilities as far as street performance in comparison to handling/speed of each other. I may be wrong tho and change my mind.

You know where I come from on that?

Diesel engine.
Wrong info. 2.0 with 150hp. On Legacy and Outback for the time being, but not yet available here.
