The silver ones could be Plymouths*, and the red ones could be Tonkas.
I do welcome the move away from the super funky, rubber clad, athletic shoe appearance that has occurred over the past 6-8 years or so, but IMHO they missed the sweet spot along the way. ----- * I know that there haven't been any Plymouths since 2001. The comparison was intentional.

I think the new Forester design was developed by the Tribeca design team. I can see some the other car manufacturers mentioned as well; I just think this "mini SUV/crossover" segment is way too crowded and a lot of the designs are too similar because the manufacturers want to rush these products out quickly.
