Australian Top Gear review
I think these people have never driven in the snow, with what they were doing. The track through the snow was not fair, as it should have been groomed after every car had gone through, and perhaps with the same driver.
How come this year when I had to stop on an icy up hill slope my Forester did not slid backwards like that. When the car (some Nissan 4WD ute thing) tried to take off in front of me and started sliding back towards me, I wasn't hanging around. I went to take off, the car slid back a little and then the traction control kicked in, and I drove around the outside of about 3-4 cars all looking on in amazement, all without chains.
Did they not have the traction control switched on, and if it was switched off, I think the VDC is still always active.
As for the show, it was trying too hard to be like the original UK Top Gear and not make their own identity. Everything that guy, not sure of his name, was the same as Jeremy, from introducing the Stig to the review fo the cars, event he way he was driving the cars.
