Question Reverse light switch

Can someone please tell me where the reverse light switch is on my '98 Forester. I haev a new one to fit but can't see where to stick it! Thanks.:?:

Welcome to the forum Phil.

On the current model, it appears to be around the centre of the transfer case. # 23 below

Thanks for that Kevin. Obviously I don't have a manual. The only problem I encountered with the new switch was that it locked the gearbox in 5th. Bugger!! Damn after market parts. The worst thing is that the genuine part is cheaper.

My thoughts too. I must be getting tired - it took me several readings to figure out how you could have 5th when you don't have a manual. :roll:

(Maybe it's one of those 6 speed autos - have you let Candy know? ;-) )
